Celect is a fast-moving technology company building data-driven products. As a Software Engineer, you’ll design, build, and ship reliable features end-to-end across our stack. You’ll collaborate closely with product and design, write clean and testable code, and help us scale architecture as we grow.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement backend services and APIs with clean, maintainable code
• Build user-facing features with performance and accessibility in mind
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews
• Own the full development lifecycle: design → build → test → deploy → observe
• Improve system performance, reliability, and developer tooling
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and stakeholders
• Contribute to technical design docs and architectural decisions

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in at least one backend language (e.g., Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go, or Java)
• Proficiency with a modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres/MySQL) and ORMs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker)
• Comfortable with CI/CD, testing, and code reviews
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, or message queues
• Observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Security and performance optimization experience
• Startup experience and comfort with ambiguity
